1 Stations of the Cross
Beginning February 25th we are offering a Communion Service each Thursday at 11:45 a.m. Our custom is to read the scripture of the day, share our reflections and receive communion. All are welcome to join. Masks, social distancing & sanitizing after the service will be in place. We will have Stations of the Cross before the Communion Service at 11:15 a.m. Communion Service

Holy Thursday (6 p.m. Live– streamed) This is a day to remember the poor. It’s a good time to return your Rice Bowls. You are encouraged to bring a hand bell to ring from your pew during the Gloria. Only priest & servers process to alter of repose.. Due to the Pandemic...no washing of feet. | 2 Good Friday mass

Good Friday (6 p.m. Live-streamed) An additional prayer will be added to intercessions Regarding the Coronavirus Epidemic. Only Father Brown will kiss the cross. We, the faithful, will adore the cross in silence from our pew. Reception of Communion happens as usual. After the Prayer over the people, all, after genuflecting to the Cross, depart in silence. | 3 Easter Vigil
Come help celebrate those who have been preparing for Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation. "Time to be updated when available" Easter Vigil
Easter Vigil (8 p.m. Live-streamed) Only a small group will gather outside around the Easter Fire including the elect and godparents. (Fr. Brown will have his mic on for those in church). Only the Paschal Candle will be lit...there will be NO Individual tapers. The Easter Proclamation will be sung. All the readings of the history of our salvation will be proclaimed. After the last Old Testament reading and Psalm, the altar candles will be lit as we sing the Gloria. Again, you are encouraged to ring bells from the pew. We will have one adult baptism and three received into full communion. Holy Saturday mass

The Belleville Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, South Vicariate will have a meeting on 4/10/21 from 0900-1200 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion IL. All ladies of the diocese are invited to attend. You will get to enjoy the fellowship of other Catholic women, learn more about Catholic Charities in Southern Illinois and participate in a spiritual reflection on St. Joseph. A box lunch will be available for purchase of $10, for those who would like to stay for lunch. Please RSVP by text or email to Jo Mayer if you are planning to stay for lunch.
