Blessing for Our Nation

God of all things, we come before you in thanksgiving for all that you have created.

For the world and its beauty, but especially for the people around us. We ask you today to give us wisdom

and courage to look at the world and all its problems and inspire us to dream great ways to improve upon

what you have so graciously given to us.

Make us worthy to call you Father.

And together bestow insight upon us to honor your created things. Bless, protect, and gift us ever

anew with your love.

We ask all this as members of this country,

in Christ's name. Amen.    

LET US PRAY…. God our Father, graciously accept from your humble people a thankful heart and spirit. Everything we have and are able to share with others ultimately comes from your love of your creations. Often we think that everything we have is our own creation; we ask you this day to create in us a spirit of gratitude, that we may always know that all good gifts come from you . Amen

SAFETY OF ALL IN AGRICULTURE... Blessed Mary, Mother of God, and great Saint Joseph, you protected and kept safe the Divine Child, Jesus. We ask your special intercession and protection of all who work in Agriculture, especially on the farm. Man, having been cast out of the Garden of Eden, must now work by the sweat of his brow to get food to eat as you foretold in Genesis. And he must also battle fatigue, danger and accidents. Protect all in agriculture against these and all danger and evil, so that when they complete their work each day and each season, they return to your altar and their families whole and entire to love and honor You and the ones you have given them all the days of their lives. We ask through the holy name of Jesus.  Amen
